The company's experience and interest in trading live animals actually goes back more than 100 years, and today it is the 4th generation running the business. Apart from the previous generations — great-grandfather Niels Vinderslev, grandfather Jens Chr. Andersen and father Ingvar Vinderslev, who all traded in horses and cattle — it is Niels Vinderslev who founded the company as we know it today.
It began with trading in cattle and horses, and over time the company has adapted to end-consumer preferences. Today we specialise in trading Danish production pigs and slaughter animals. Danish pig production is known for its efficiency, high health status and production with a focus on animal welfare.
Niels Vinderslev, son of Ingvar Vinderslev, has always had a vision of delivering high quality. He built up an extensive network among Danish pig producers, which the next generation has further developed, ensuring high-quality deliveries. The Vinderslev family has identified the right competencies and market needs, kept pace with developments and is today one of Denmark's leading pig exporters.
More than 20 years ago, Niels Vinderslev already ensured that the company would continue its positive development, high customer satisfaction and quality deliveries. His two sons Michael and Rene and daughter Rikke have worked through every level of the hierarchy in terms of tasks related to pig export — from farm visits and sorting of pigs to final trading at an international level. In addition to solid commercial educations and having been employed in the company since 1995, Niels' successors possess the best competencies and experience.
Thanks to a strong inflow of customers and high satisfaction, the company has grown from a small pig trader with few employees and 2 trucks to a strong player in the Danish and European market — with more than 40 employees, 21 own trucks as well as its own export stables and transport base.
The company is today a proud family business with equally high expectations for future development. With an experienced management team and strong competencies, pig exports of the highest quality and best standards can be guaranteed.
