Cleaning and biosecurity
We maintain elevated cleaning standards in our trucks and export stable — and yes, we dare say it: we operate the cleanest export stable with the lowest infection risk in Denmark.
Stables
All stable sections are cleaned and disinfected daily to minimise infection risk. We bed the pigs with fresh, kiln-dried sawdust.
Trucks
All trucks are washed and disinfected after each unloading. We have an automatic external washing facility plus four bays for manual internal cleaning.
Workwear
Workwear is handled by an external specialist, Elis Danmark A/S, for chemical disinfection — a further element of our biosecurity measures.
SPF biosecurity and hygiene
For SPF transport we use enclosed, white trucks with UV-filtered ventilation systems. Between each load, thorough disinfection and quarantine periods are carried out, and strict protocols for loading and unloading are followed — so that breeding animals and disease-free pigs are transported with the lowest possible infection risk.
