Documentation and health status for piglet export
Exporting live pigs requires documentation all the way. Here are the requirements we work by, and what you as a supplier or buyer can expect.
What we document with every delivery
Documented health status
We require either SPF-SuS registration or another documented health status for all the piglets and slaughter pigs we handle. The health status is transparent to the buyer.
Background declaration 2026
For piglet export, the new background declaration from the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration (La230-7760) is used. The old declarations can no longer be used.
DANISH and QS
DANISH is the Danish pig industry's product standard for animal welfare, food safety and traceability. NV-Randers A/S is DANISH-approved both as a transporter and as an assembly centre, and DANISH-approved herds are automatically approved for the German QS system.
Veterinary inspection in the export stable
A veterinarian from the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration inspects and approves all pigs in our export stable before they are sent on to the customer.
International transport documents
We prepare all international transport documents, so every delivery has full traceability and documentation.
Documented weighing
All trucks are weighed electronically when entering and leaving the export stable. The weighing is recorded and attached to every settlement, so both seller and buyer can see it.
High health status and Danish genetics
All our suppliers comply with Danish animal welfare legislation. Since 1985, Danish pork has been declared free of hormones, heavy metals and pesticides — one of the reasons why Danish pigs are in demand throughout Europe.
As a supplier: fill in the documentation forms correctly, and keep in regular contact with us about the herd's specifications. That way we secure the best sale.
